WHAT WE BELIEVE

First and for most our mission is to please the Head of the Church Jesus Christ in all that we say and do. To build people and change lives by being light and salt. Empowering people to live better, love better, and serve better, helping them find their place in life and in the Body of Christ.

His Church accepts the scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the All Sufficient Rule of faith, practice, and lifestyle. For the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts these Statements of Fundamental Truths and Doctrines.

ONE GOD
God is one eternally existent in three persons: God, the Father, God, the Son, God, the Holy Spirit, and the three are One. (Phil. 2:6, 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14, John 1: 1, John 1: 18, John 1: 14, John 15:26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29)

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
The Bible is the Word of God – originally given by God, holy, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

All scripture (Old and New Testament) is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness and that there are no private interpretation of scripture. (2 Tim. 3:15-16, 1 Thess. 2.13, Peter 1:21).

THE VIRGIN BIRTH
We believe that our Lord was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-23, Romans 8:34, Acts 1:10-11)

THE DEITY OF CHRIST
Jesus is the Christ, God incarnate, the only begotten Son of God and was manifest in human flesh. He became human like us except for one thing, being free from sin he took upon our sins. (Isaiah 9:6-7, John 1:1-14; 5:22-23; 8:54-58; 10:30)

SALVATION
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Man by voluntary transgression, fell thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death. The atoning death of Jesus, who died on the cross so that we might live, offering Himself up as the perfect sacrifice for sinful man—the salvation of man. Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-17,; Rom. 3: 10; Rom 3:23; Romans 5:6-10; Rom. 5:12-19, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, 1 John 3:8, Eph. 2:8, 1 John 1:7)

BAPTISM BY IMMERSION
Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matt. 28:19, Rom. 6:4, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:36-39).

DIVINE HEALING
Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Body of Christ today.  (Mark 16:18; James 5:14,15; 1 Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:16-17; Isa. 53:4,5).

THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Baptism with the Holy Spirit is a baptism from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance and the gifts of the Spirit manifested as He wills.

(Matt 3: 1 1, John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-6).

THE SANCTIFYING POWER
The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return. (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; 1 Cor. 1:30, Corinthians 6:11, 1 Peter 1:15-16)

THE PRACTICE OF PRAISE & WORSHIP

With one's total being as set forth in the Word of God. (Acts 24:14, Ephesians 5:18-19, Psalms 150)

IN THE RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE

RETURN OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "This same Jesus shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." His coming is imminent. When He comes, ". . . the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air . . ." (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16,17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests (1 Peter 2:5-9; Revelation 1:5-6), He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 20:6).Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected, the one to everlasting life, the other to everlasting damnation . (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelations 20:13-14)

HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION

The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms "eternal" and "everlasting," used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and delight of saints in the presence of God (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20)

ETERNAL LIFE and THE NEW BIRTH
Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that works repentance. The New Birth is necessary for all men, and when experienced produces eternal life.

(2 Cor. 7: 10, I John 5:12, John 3:3-5).

MARRIAGE, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and likeness of God. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God.  We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person must be afforded love, compassion, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of His Church International Christian Center.  (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 2:18-25; 1 Cor. 6:18, 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4; Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Matt. 5:16; Phil. 2:14-16; 1 Thess. 5:22; Acts 3:19-21; Rom. 10:9-10; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.)
